Whether you be a sneakers collector or not there’s no doubt about the face that Michael Jordan trainers are well known and very well liked, but what are 10 rare Jordan’s that can be added to your collection?
10) Eminem Air Jordan’s IV (2005)
Eminem has actually been in collaboration with the air Jordan’s sneaker brand twice with both the II and IV, but it’s the IV blue that are the rare once. Created to commemorate the release of the Encore album this sneaker was produced in extremely limited numbers.
9) Air Jordan’s III “Oregon Ducks” (2012)
This sneaker actually comes in two types the Pit Crew III’s which have duck feet on the back rather than the well known jump man or words Nike air, the Black III’s both just as rare as each other.
8) Nike Air Jordan II (1987)
The Nike Air Jordan II’s are probably the last retro sneaker that they released, the originals were not only amazing to look at but were packed in a pretty awesome way too, in an Italian made white winged limited edition box.
7) Kobe Jordan PE (2003)
Unfortunately if your a mere member of the public, and not part of the rich and famous the Kobe Jordan PEs are most likely going to break the bank. The custom purple and gold sneakers made for Kobe, are possible to find but are still very rare!
6) Nike Air Jordan XI “45” Sample (1995)
These sneakers remain the most converted of the air Jordan brand, known for their sleek and stylish air streamed look.
5) UNDFTD Air Jordan IV (2005)
The UNDFTD Air Jordan’s were not sold in stores but sold in auction houses and raffles. The shoe is limited because only 72 pairs were made and t was inspire by the Flight Jacket MA-1.
4) Nike Air Jordan 1 Black/Red (1985)
This sneaker without a doubt has to be a part of any true Air jordan collectors closest for the one and only reason that it was the first Air jordan sneaker to come available in store and the beginning of an empire. If the original $65 is still with it then even better.
3) Nike Air Jordan X “City Series” (1995)
Similar to the XI “45”‘s the Nike air Jordan X “City Series” was the first to show that the sneaker was about to carry the legacy on through other players.
2) Air Jordan IV “Motorsports”
This type was part of a selection (3 sets). The motor sports were the only out of the three to be released to the public, the rest were friends and family only.
1) Any Jordan’s worn by Jordan himself in game
This is an absolute no brainer. If your someone lucky enough to own a pair of air Jordan’s that were worn by Michael Jordan himself during a game you pretty much have the equivalent to pure gold in your closest.
The ones above was sold at auction for the highest price on record for a pair of game-used sneakers. It was used in the gold-medal game against Spain in the 1984 Olympics. It was sold early Sunday morning for $190,373.
It was quoted “The record-shattering price proves that Micheal Jordan has no equal in the marketplace for game-used basketball memorabilia,” said Dan Imler, vice president of SCP Auctions, which sold the shoes.
